Advocacy Letter

I know you and your colleagues are facing a difficult series of financial decisions regarding the budget for our school district.

When making these decisions, I urge you to bear in mind the importance parents at (insert name of school) place on our music program. We see music as part of a well-rounded education; we want our kids to benefit from the self esteem, sense of discipline and teamwork (as well as the fun) that being part of a music program provides.

Please do not short-change our kids while you seek to balance the books. Economies must be found in areas that do not require our children to sacrifice the quality of their education.
